WILLING TO TRAIN the right person.
Alaska Scrap & Recycling in Anchorage is now hiring 3-Full Time Non-Ferrous Processors to safely and efficiently process non-ferrous materials for resale. Positions are seasonal through October with the possibility of permanent employment.
MUST be able to pass pre-employment drug test & background check.
Essential Duties:
Inspect, identify and grade non-ferrous materials visually
Sort non-ferrous materials based on commodity grades
Further process non-ferrous materials using alligator shears, reciprocating saw, and/or manual hand-tools to add additional value
Operate light to medium equipment such as bobcat, forklift, and electrical baler.
Knowledge of:
Scrap metal industry and materials being processed preferred but WILLING TO TRAIN the right person
Minimum Level of Education: High school diploma or equivalent
