Mountain View Eye Center is hiring for the position of Ophthalmic Technician! This is a full-time, exciting career opportunity for applicants who are willing to dive into a fast-paced and ever-changing field as part of a clinical team that is dedicated to providing excellent care.
Tasks:
Tasks include but are not limited to taking patient history; recording and requesting medication prescriptions; performing specialized ophthalmic testing such as visual fields, OCTs, fundus photos, applanation, autorefraction, topography, and pachymetry; helping to stock clinical supplies; maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of exam lanes during clinic; opening and closing exam lanes; and assisting physicians and other staff in various tasks as requested.
Qualifications:
Experience and prior training in ophthalmology preferred but not required. Relevant technical skills can be taught on-site. Positive attitude and strong customer service skills are important as this position requires working closely with patients. Attention to detail and good written, oral, and telephone communications skills are a must, as is the ability to work independently and professionally and remain organized in a fast-paced office. Flexibility with changes is crucial, as our office is always growing and expanding. Applicant must be a team player and will be expected to work well with all departments and assist in any necessary tasks.
