Established tree care company looking for Tree Climber (3+ years experience). Our company is STABLE. We have a continuous flow of work coming in. Some companies lay off in September and not hire again until April. We don't do that. We have worked every day for almost a decade!
You will be tested on your skills before you start, so please don't waste our time or yours. If you think the job is just climbing trees, you are looking at the wrong ad. You must be able to climb them, and trim or remove limbs with saws, and in a timely and professional manner. Other requirements of the job:
- Good attitude at all times is a must.
- Good work habits are a must.
- Available to work extended hours and weekends (for emergencies). This is non-negotiable. If you want to get out of work at 3pm and aren't available for emergency (or sometimes commercial) work on the weekends, this isn't the industry for you. If there is inclement weather, we don't work, but we do make it up on Saturday.
- Valid D.L.
- Must be paranoid about taking care of customers, its why we've been in business for decades while the competition has gone under.
- Must have 3+ years solely as a climber. Every year, we stipulate this in our postings, but we interview people who have only climbed a few times, or count being a groundsman as climbing experience
- Able to pass a drug screen and background check. No one is perfect, but we are very cautious about drugs and theft. If you have a drug offense, it should either have been a misdemeanor
- Must be willing to run estimates as needed
- Show up to work and on time
