Staff Accountant

Description Job Title: Staff AccountantRobert Half is seeking a short-term contract / temporary to hire staff accountant to support to manage day-to-day accounting tasks and provide assistance with Year End Close activities during a period of open positions.Job Description:Journal Entries:Prepare and record accurate and timely journal entries for various financial transactions.Ensure adherence to accounting principles and company policies.GL Account Reconciliation:Perform monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.Support ME and YE Close Ad Hoc activities:Assist in month-end (ME) and year-end (YE) closing processes as needed.Participate in ad hoc tasks related to closing activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations.Bank/CC Reconciliations:Reconcile bank and credit card accounts on a regular basis to verify accuracy of transactions and account balances.Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues related to reconciliationsRequirements Required Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Proven experience (X years) as a Staff Accountant or similar role.Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.Proficiency in Sage Intacct or similar accounting software.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and accuracy in work.Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other departments.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
