We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Art Teacher to join our team in embracing the principles of Reggio Emilia philosophy. This is a contract position with part-time hours, offering compensation ranging from $18 to $20 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Position Overview:

As an Art Teacher, you will play a vital role in nurturing the artistic development of children aged18 months - 10 years old. You will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging art activities that align with the Reggio Emilia approach, allowing children to explore various materials, techniques, and forms of expression.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and facilitate art lessons and activities that promote exploration, creativity, and self-expression.

Create a supportive and inclusive environment where children feel empowered to experiment and take risks in their artwork.

Observe and document children's progress and interests, using this information to inform future lesson plans and activities.

Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and caregivers to support the holistic development of each child.

Maintain a clean and organized art studio, ensuring that materials are accessible and age-appropriate.

Qualifications:

Previous experience working with children in an art education setting.

Strong understanding of the Reggio Emilia approach and its principles.

Ability to create a nurturing and supportive environment that encourages children to explore and create independently.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and children.

Flexibility, creativity, and a passion for fostering children's creativity and self-expression.
