The Hutkin Law Firm, a fast paced civil litigation firm, seeks full time paralegal with at least three years experience. Must have strong knowledge of all phases of litigation, discovery, and trial procedures. Responsibilities include drafting correspondence and pleadings, drafting and responding to discovery, document management, preparation of subpoenas, calendaring, scheduling of depositions, coordination of all details before and during trial, including research, document filing, and preparation of trial subpoenas for experts and witnesses.
Must have a positive attitude, excellent writing skills and ability to multi-task and sometimes work under pressure, be a team-player, have the ability to prioritize, and be detail-oriented. Excellent communication skills, including telephone etiquette, email correspondence and other such communications with clients, co-workers, and other professionals is a must.
Bilingual, familiarity with Excel, and good math skills are not required but would be a big plus. Knowledge of WordPerfect, Word, State, Federal and local Court Rules procedures and deadlines is expected.
Compensation is based upon experience.
