Job description:

We are looking for quality control managers who are willing to travel. These positions will work for our NAVFAC projects, the Department of Defense (DoD), and our clients on federal facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for the ideal candidate with proven experience, knowledge, ability to work well with a team, integrity, and willingness to lead their assigned projects. The position is responsible for managing and adhering to our sub-contractor’s quality control program and supporting construction projects from $2M to $50M in value size. Represent Tri-State Safety LLC with integrity and assist in building trust between us and our clients.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY, YOU MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 5 to 10 YEARS OF PROVEN SUCCESSFUL FEDERAL CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE AS AN ONSITE CERTIFIED QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER. A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is a plus.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities/Duties:

The QC Manager at the work site is to implement and manage the QC. Program. The duties and responsibilities of the QC Manager are to manage and implement the QC program related to a Contract. The QC Manager is required to attend the partnering meetings, QC Plan Meetings, Coordination, and Mutual Understanding of Meetings. Conduct the QC meetings, perform the three phases of control, perform submittal review and approval, ensure testing is completed, and provide QC certifications and documentation required in a Contract. The QC Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the three phases of control and documentation performed by the QC Specialists, testing laboratory personnel, and any other inspection and testing personnel required by this Contract. The QC Manager is the manager of all QC activities. The QC manager is responsible for notifying the Special Inspector of activities that require their review.

The QC manager is responsible for coordinating any Special Inspection activities.

The QC Manager:

Must be willing to work as a team on all projects assigned.

Must be organized and proactive in all three phases of Quality Control.

Must have successful experience as a Lead QCM on past USACE and NAVFAC projects.

Must read, interpret, and fully understand plans, specifications, reference codes, and standards.

Must be diligent in the QC processes daily and tenacious in completing tasks that can adversely affect the

construction schedule.

Must be proficient in reviewing provisions that have been made to provide required control, inspection, and testing.

Capable of preparing a QUALITY CONTROL PLAN for each project assigned.

Must be able to set up and perform daily management of eCMS functions Initially.

Effective in assuring all materials and or equipment have been submitted and approved.

Control all communications and project documentation to preclude any delays or deficiencies.

Communicate with the Contracting office in a positive and solutions-oriented manner.

Lead required professional, organized, and well-informed meetings with all parties.

Be on top of all daily work activities, and ensure all testing is done accordingly and documented correctly.

Be consistent with all required inspections and have a proactive rather than reactive approach to all aspects of

quality control.

Have a partnering attitude in resolving all situations, respond promptly to customer needs, and always place the

client’s interest at the forefront of all conflicts.

Qualifications:

Must be an individual with a minimum of 5 years combined experience in the following positions: Project Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Construction Manager on $2M to $50M in value size of similar size and type construction contracts which included the significant trades that are part of large Contracts. The individual must have at least two years of experience as a QC Manager. The individual must be familiar with the requirements of EM 385-1-1 and have experience in hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainability.

Active US Army Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management for Contractors certificate. ALL CERTS

MUST BE CURRENT.

Proven five years of experience as a QC manager within construction.

Must have proven experience with USACE and NAVFAC.

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills, with Procore knowledge a plus.

Must have experience using eCMS REQUIRED.

Must have their CQM Certification within the last five years (Not Expired)

Skillful communicator in both verbal and written communication.

Excellent writing skills with proper grammar.

A great listener who can communicate professionally with an open and positive approach.

Must pass a pre-employment drug test/physical/background check.

Must be experienced in: Large Building Construction (Vertical)and knowledgeable in site construction (Horizontal).

Must be well organized regarding Documentation, organization, and following up with clients (RFI’s, Submittals,

Approvals).

Job Type: Contract

Salary: From $40.00-$45.00 per hour

Per-diem-Pay for a hotel if more than 100 miles from your home address.

Mileage: Paid if more than 100 miles from your home address.
