Description Job Description: Accounts Receivable SpecialistWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. As an integral member of our finance department, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the efficient processing of invoices, accurate posting of accounts receivable transactions, and proactive communication with customers to address any issues that may arise.The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for accuracy. Key responsibilities include daily invoice processing, timely recording of cash receipts, and maintaining regular communication with customers via telephone and email to address any billing inquiries or overdue payments. Additionally, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will provide regular status updates on accounts receivable, identifying delinquent accounts and forecasting cash receipts for the upcoming weeks.In this role, strong communication skills are essential as the Accounts Receivable Specialist will initiate discussions with customers as necessary to address delinquent amounts and ensure timely payment. The ability to develop and maintain detailed reports and files on accounts receivable status, both in Excel and within our accounting system, is also critical.Reporting directly to the corporate controller, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of the organization. Other duties may be assigned as needed to support the finance department's objectives.Essential Functions:
Daily preparation of invoices for all shipments from the plant.
Recording all cash receipts promptly upon receipt, whether by ACH, wire, check, or cash.
Reviewing outstanding invoices and proactively communicating with customers to ensure timely payment and address any potential delinquencies.
Providing regular status reports on accounts receivable to the corporate controller, highlighting any issues or concerns.
