Responsibilities:Our next Litigation Paralegal will be positive, thorough, conscientious, ambitious, and personable. If the following responsibilities excite you, we invite you to apply:Develop expertise in Colorado state and federal court procedures and rulesTake charge of tracking, managing, analyzing, and organizing discovery, docketing court deadlines, as well as proactively anticipating the needs of the legal teamDraft responses to discovery requests, format pleadings, and prepare complete and compelling timelines and demonstrative exhibits that align with the client's goalsPrepare for trial, including compiling trial materials, coordinating witnesses, preparing and issuing trial subpoenas, preparing and managing exhibits, tracking responses during voir dire, etc.Work cooperatively with attorneys to keep litigation advancing in each case; including taking the initiative to regularly update attorneys on the status of cases and quickly alert attorneys to important client and case needs and solutionsDelegate tasks as necessary, both to the attorneys and to our legal assistant teamQualifications:3+years litigation experience, construction litigation experience preferred, but not requiredExperience with preparing attorneys for trialParalegal certificateProactive, self-starter who has an understanding of the litigation process in ColoradoAbility to be flexible in challenging situations with changing prioritiesTake initiative to anticipate challenges All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard torace, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.We consider all qualified applicants, including those with criminal histories, in a manner consistent with state and local laws, including the City of Los Angeles' Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance.
