Adventure Paddle Tours: Sea kayak guide/SUP instructor/Customer service Rep
Job Description: Adventure Paddle Tours is hiring one full time sea kayak guide/SUP instructor with some customer service duties. The primary job will be to lead kayak tours from the Frisco Bay Marina on a 2.5 hour guided eco tour. Tours typically run between 8-12 guests, launch at 8am, 9am and 6pm depending on weather and are best described as a Natural history tours from a kayak. Tours are fully narrated, and include stories on mining history, high alpine ecology and general discussion of our mountain home. Candidates must demonstrate a love for the great outdoors, maintain strong customer service skills and group management. Our guides are our greatest asset, so we are looking for a highly charismatic and well trained guide looking to provide a memorable and safe experience on the water.
Schedule: Seasonal Full-time, one can expect to work during weekends and holidays. Tours launch daily at 8am, 9am, and 5pm dependent on weather. (please dont apply if you have scheduled a week long vacation from 6/15-8/10, we will need all hands on deck for two months!
Job Requirements:
-Current CPR/First Aid training before starting work
-Former guiding experience or similar work experience. Acceptable work experiences would be camp counselors, raft guides, sea kayak instructors, Ski instructors, NOLs leaders and any other related fields
-ACA Sea Kayak Certifications are highly sought after or Colorado Rafting certifications. Other guiding certifications are accepted
Applicant must maintain a positive attitude towards tourist in our area, after all they are the reason this job is being posted
Must commit to work for entire season Memorial Day to labor day
Must maintain a flexible schedule throughout the summer
RESUME REQUIRED, We plan to have face to face interviews the first week of May and hire by May 15th
