Primary Purpose of Position

To assist the Spa Manager in providing leadership and supervision of the Spa Concierge as well as all staff in the daily Spa operations, including:Â retail, membership, Spa Cafe, fitness/wellness, and therapists/aestheticians in the absence of their lead.Â

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform basic Spa Concierge duties, including: guest reservations, assisting guests in the Spa facilities, performing regular "refreshes" of spa facilities, administering the Oxygen Bar, cash and credit card sales, and all other Spa Concierge duties as needed

Maintain complete knowledge of spa and hotel operations, including events and specials

Oversee the daily operations of the Spa, including: guest reservations, inventory of retail and professional products, monitoring proper booking standards, cleanliness of spa area, payroll through Paychex, staff scheduling, organizing and maintaining the retail boutique, the Spa caf and Oxygen bar

Assist in hiring staff and with disciplinary actions which are within the Sonnenalp standards

Aid in executing weekly training sessions to ensure a high level of guest service and satisfaction

Help in ordering, inventory and stocking of the retail boutique, including seeking new products and services which adhere to the Spa culture

Respond to guest requests and complaints in an appropriate manner

Attend regularly scheduled meetings with the Spa Leadership team

Monitor Spa related "HotSOS" issues, including following up on issues as needed and closing the issues in HotSOS.

Education/Experience

Extensive customer service experience

Experience in a leadership or supervisory role

Experience with computer software programs, including: Microsoft office, Springer Miller Systems (ideally, Spa Soft)

Special Skills/Equipment

Extraordinary guest service skills

Proficient in English language (oral and written)

Effective communication and multi-tasking skills

Ability to manage, motivate and train staff members

Possesses a strong attention to detail

Flexibility in schedule

Ability to learn and assimilate new information quickly and efficiently

Essential Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand 8-10 hours a day

Must be able to work 8 hour shifts, 5 days a week; or 10 hour shifts, 4 days a week

Must work weekends and holidays (Schedule is 4 10-hr days, Friday through Monday or Saturday through Tuesday)
