NorthBay is looking for a summer Grounds Worker to assist in the maintenance of all exterior areas of our camp
NorthBay is an outdoor environmental education and retreat center located in North East, MD in Elk Neck State Park. This beautiful facility hosts many retreat groups throughout the summer and needs a seasonal grounds worker to ensure that the campus remains clean and safe, giving our guests the opportunity to reconnect with nature in a distraction-free environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to use required equipment, and implement all plans formulated by Grounds Management. Must be able to lift weighted material up to 75lbs, i.e. plants, bushes and small trees. Must possess the ability to bend over and push and/or pull equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Ensures all duties and activities relating to the maintenance and upkeep of the facility are carried out in an effective, timely manner.
2. Maintenance of all lawns, trees, gardens, shrubbery and hardscapes including clipping and leaf removal.
3. Ensures that all sidewalks and parking areas are clean and clear from leaves, twigs, debris, etc.
4. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Must be available to work from April - September; must have a valid driver's license.
