Port to Port is seeking a qualified Yard Supervisor for our New Castle, DE Location:
We are looking for a capable and dedicated individual to supervise the work activities of all yard personnel involved in the loading, shipping and receiving and handling of vehicles and goods.
Responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring that freight is loaded or unloaded in accordance with established safety and cost standards, including the planning, assigning, supervising and evaluating employee workload.

Forklift vehicle driving
Receiving procedures experience
Knowledge of local shipping regulations
Fully Bilingual Spanish-English.
Leadership and direction in loading and unloading strategies.
Receiving procedures
Yard organization
Inventory handling and control.
Maintenance control of yard equipment
Promotion of a safe working environment.
Quality control inspections
Ability to multi-task
Exceptional attention to details
Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency, performs well under stress.
Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Experience:
1-3 years experience as a Yard Loader
1-3 years experience as a Supervisory experience
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time in temperature extremes
Ability to use hands, arms and legs to physically handle and transport finished goods.
Position requires full range of body motion including twisting, bending, reaching, squatting and ability to mount/dismount industrial equipment and vehicles.
