Lee Veterinary Clinic is looking for an Experienced and Enthusiastic Veterinary Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate must have experience in a veterinary clinic setting and must be able to work with companion animals as well as large animals such as goats, horses, and cows. The responsibilities of the Veterinary Technician here at Lee Veterinary Clinic include, but are not limited to the following activities:
Patient history and vital collection
Vaccine, fluid, injection preparation and administration
Proper restraint for lab work and treatments
Venipuncture and lab processing
Anesthetic monitoring
Dental scaling and polishing (if licensed)
Surgical recovery of patients
Triaging critical situations
Setting up and performing radiographs
Electronic charting and financial transactions
Client communication and education
Hygiene services
Filling prescriptions
Stocking and cleaning
All other duties as assigned
Requirements: 1 year of veterinary assistant/nurse or licensed technician experience. Excellent customer service skills. Must be flexible in scheduling. (Note: Saturdays are 1/2 days rotated among staff. We are closed on Sundays).
Physical Requirements: This job is physically active and requires frequent bending and standing for long periods of time. It requires routine lifting and restraining animals. You must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and able to work around pet hair and dander.
