Description Robert Half has an immediate need for a talented Accounting Clerk. In this role, you will be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). The Accounting Clerk position is a permanent opportunity and is situated in the Stuart, Florida, area.Your responsibilities in this role

Handle general accounting tasks: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

Carry out additional related duties and help with special projects on an as-needed basis

Resolve discrepancies, and create correction documents if needed, by checking all possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts

Manually or electronically post financial information

Create statements and reports that require the use of a number of sources

Support accounts payable by filing vendor invoice and disbursements and by matching & filing A/P invoices

Support Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance

Code documents using the proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes Requirements - AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

1+ years of accounting experience required

Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is ideal, but not required

Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds

Practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Data entry experience highly desired

Accounts Payable (AP) experience

Deep understanding of Administrative Assistance

Well-founded grasp of File management systems

General familiarity with Bank Deposit

Administrative Office experience preferred

Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR)

Proven knowledge of Record Keeping
