Job DescriptionSeeking a self-starting, highly motivated and goal-oriented area manager with knowledge of turnkey residential framing, specifically for single and multifamily homes that can manage a team of project managers. Able to read, understand, and review architectural plans to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Excellent attention to detail with emphasis placed on quality and control. Requires a very organized and systematic approach to guarantee a quality product.This position reports to the Vice President.Responsibilities:Hire, retain, and train project managers and building a strong, high-performance teamOversee multiple project managers and job sites prepare schedules and supervise project completion meeting established quality standards on schedule and within budgetAssist in developing the carpentry schedule including milestones, durations, and dependencies for each phase of the projects.Reviews job specifications and blueprints to determine construction requirements and communicates this information to all relevant parties assigned to the job site.Understands material and equipment needs for projects and coordinates their delivery at each phase of the project.Manage subcontractor schedules across multiple job sites and update as needed.Consistently monitors subcontractors performance and provides feedback to the project managerImplement and enforce Safety Program initiatives for all team members and subcontractors based on OSHA standards.Ensure project manager compliance related to field reports, frame walk checklist and punch lists.Maintains positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other team members and effectively resolve site issues without escalating tensionDemonstrates confidence in spotting construction productivity issues and taking action to resolve them before the project is negatively impacted.Ensure equipment is maintained according to schedule and make replacement recommendations, minimizing down timeEducation & ExperienceMinimum 7 years of progressive experience in residential construction/home building5+ years of relevant experience in a senior level superintendent roleMust be proficient in reading and understanding plans, specifications, drawings and project schedulesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of operation and maintenance of a forklift preferredOSHA-10 (required within 30 days of employment), OSHA-30 and First-Aid/CPR certifications preferredProficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel & Word)Valid drivers license is required with a clean recordBilingual Spanish is preferredKey CompetenciesDemonstrates professionalism, able to meet deadlines and works well under pressureDemonstrates a strong knowledge of carpentry, materials, resource allocation, construction tools, and execution according to plan specificationsAbility to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and understand when to escalate an issue or ask for helpEmbraces technology and is able to use it in ways that support project success and client satisfactionComfortable with ambiguity and driven to resolve itTravelTravel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel is expectedTo Apply, Use This Link:https://workforcenow.adp.com/mascsr/default/mdf/recruitment/recruitment.html?cid=2e195142-2cb2-4b60-be2a-88e6fd0372dc&jobId=269278&lang=enUS&source=CC3&ccId=19000101000001
