We are in need of a Marketing and Administrative Assistant for our office in Traverse City. This position covers three general areas of responsibility:

Tradeshow Coordinator

Our sales reps attend approximately 30 industry tradeshows annually. The person in this position is responsible for making the arrangements for these tradeshows, including reserving the booth space, booking airline and hotels for the sales reps, packing and shipping the tradeshow booth, arranging for shipping of the booth to and from the convention facility, and unpacking the booth once it is returned to our office. This is a lot to juggle, but it is managed smoothly with Excel spreadsheets, checklists and calendars helping to ensure that all the details are attended to. While our tradeshow schedule is seasonal, overall coordination and management of tradeshows accounts for roughly 35% of the job.

Digital Marketing Manager

In addition to tradeshows, our company generates leads and sales primarily through a very advanced digital marketing system. The person in this position will play an integral role in our digital marketing efforts through the production and management of our blog, company newsletter, Facebook page and posts, and Twitter feed. These activities together account for roughly 35% of the job.

Marketing Generalist

The remaining 30% of the job includes a wide variety of duties and projects related to Marketing and Administration, including answering phones, negotiating with vendors (advertising and media agencies), writing and placing content (PR Web, for example), distributing inbound leads to our sales team, and interfacing with our SalesForce CRM system.

The successful applicant will be professional and able to work independently in an office environment. Experience in digital marketing, content creation and blog/newsletter maintenance is highly preferred. The ability to learn quickly, prioritize and complete tasks on time is essential. You should be very comfortable with the MS Office suite, and experience with the Adobe Creative Cloud is a bonus.

This is a full-time position, 8 - 5, Mon-Fri.

ViewTech Borescopes is a 10-year-old company in the Remote Visual Inspection industry. Our product is an articulating video borescope used in the inspection, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of industrial equipment and machinery. We are based in Traverse City but sell our product nationwide.
