Maintenance Specialist (Poverello Center)

Summary: Complete all daily maintenance including tracking incremental maintenance activities, and completing any necessary repairs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Manage all maintenance procedures and operations.

2. Ensure all machinery, plumbing and electrical systems are up to working standards.

3. Respond to staff reports of maintenance issues from the maintenance log.

4. Troubleshoot problem areas and create a clear plan of action for fixing necessary parts.

5. Create a work environment with safety as a priority.

6. Maintain vendor relationships and work with Director of Operations to order new materials as needed.

7. Adhere to maintenance budget.

8. Maintains maintenance manual of procedures and contacts.

9. Cooperates with law enforcement if required.

10. Maintains elevator.

11. Maintains security systems including panic buttons and fire alarms.

12. Coordinates quarterly fire drills for staff.

13. Performs other duties as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

Valid Montana drivers license and acceptable driving record.

Successful completion of a thorough background investigation.

Education and/or Experience

Experience working in building maintenance is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Exposure to unpleasant sights, sounds and odors is frequently encountered. The Poverello Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
