Job Description
The ELLKAY product team is seeking a
Product Marketing Manager & Content Writer. This role is a combination of creative writing, technical writing, marketing, and branding. This role will assist in creating and maintaining branded, up-to-date product marketing collateral, educational materials, and end-user documentation.The ideal candidate is a strong writer who wants to be involved in understanding and communicating in a simple, clear way the who, what, why, where, and how to use various software applications in the healthcare space.
Must be a creative, energetic individual with a strong command of communicating in writing and in person and the ability to learn quickly and adapt that knowledge to professional documentation. This person has a passion for taking heavy, highly technical information and digesting it into clean, aesthetically pleasing, easy-to-understand resources for end-users.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Understand the functionality, market value, and positioning of a suite of software product catering to various segments of the healthcare industry (including diagnostic laboratories, health insurance payers, health IT vendors, and other healthcare organizations).
- Craft clear, compelling copy for product collateral and website pages. Make content edits to website and webforms.
- Work with product & technical managers to create and update product user guides and end-user documentation.
- Work closely with the graphic designer as well as independently to produce data flow visualizations and diagrams for product functionality, use cases, etc.
- Work with the marketing communications team to provide product value messaging to support their social media & email campaigns; work with events marketing team to provide targeted product messaging for various audiences.
- Create client-facing tutorial videos based off product documentation
- Streamline branding for product documentation
- Light graphic design to update brochure content, create product slides for corporate decks, etc.
- Implement and maintain digital user guides.
- Performs other related work as assigned.
Qualifications
- Excellent skills in content creation for website, technical manuals, and product collateral
- proofreading/copyediting skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to digest technical information
- Creative
- Excellent ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of an organization and external contacts, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrated organizational skills withability to manage multiple projects with competing demands.
- Detail-oriented, execution-focused, and high energy level with high level of accuracy in record-keeping and follow-up.
- Highly professional and personable
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (marketing, communications, etc.)
- 4+ years of experience in marketing software applications
- Experience in technical writing
- Knowledge of healthcare industry desired
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Experience with Adobe products, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Competent in graphic design
- HTML and CSS a plus
