Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team. The DSP will be responsible for providing in-home support to clients with disabilities, assisting them with various daily tasks and activities.
Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on assistance and support to clients with disabilities in their homes
Assist with activities of daily living, such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, medication reminders, and household chores
Promote independence and self-advocacy by encouraging clients to make their own choices and decisions
Establish and maintain a trusting and supportive relationship with clients and their families
Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and report any concerns or incidents to the appropriate supervisor
Requirements:
Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
Compassionate and patient demeanor with excellent communication skills
Ability to follow instructions and adapt to the individual needs of each client
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to clients' homes
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications or training in human services or related field preferred
