Regional Sales Manager - Colorado/New Mexico

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the sale of company products through a network of outside sales representatives in designated geographic areas and territories. You will support the sales and marketing goals of the branch, will select and train the sales staff, may formulate, recommend and implement policies, procedures and programs in the areas of sales, pricing and support other related activities as determined.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage Outside Sales Representatives including the Account Development Representatives.

Review and analyze territory and regional sales reports.

Establish and maintain a close relationship with the top 25 key accounts in each territory or market.

Manage pricing policies to achieve sales and gross margin goals.

Develop, monitor and achieve the annual sales budget.

Establish effective sales and product training for all outside and inside sales reps.

Furnish the leadership necessary as an integral member of the branch/regional management team.

Provide sales input to the marketing departments to achieve the branch goals.

Plan, organize and coordinate vendor sponsored sales and promotions, marketing and training activities.

Coach sales representatives to achieve optimal performance and support both short and long term development.

Support all other areas and departments as required or assigned.

Job Skills:

Industrial, commercial or cabinet sales, or distribution background, or related industry experience is desired.

Excellent Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on Outlook, Word and Excel.

Valid drivers license and a clean DMV record.

Education:

BS/BA in Marketing/Sales Management or equivalent experience.

Experience:

Five (5) years experience successfully demonstrating sales growth through a team of outside sales representatives; increasing responsibilities and levels of success in a route sales type environment. Five to eight (5-8) years experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

This work requires the following physical activities: climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, reaching, sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs. of material, finger dexterity for activities such as data entry and calculator use, grasping, repetitive motions, speaking, hearing, visual acuity, and mobility between locations. Use of both hands is required.
