Mesiano Consulting is a small firm that provides grant planning, development and administration services for local government agencies primarily towns, villages, and counties. We are seeking professionals with a background in economic development, planning and/or community development fields who are interested in taking on project based work to prepare grant proposals for municipal projects. Grant writers/coordinators work as part of our project team to manage the grant development project, including project management, collecting technical information, preparing application documents, and writing narratives. This is detail oriented, deadline-driven work. Prior grants experience a plus, as is knowledge of NYS Grants Gateway, MWBE and the CFA. Commitment to high quality work is a must.

We handle a wide range of project types - including but not limited to infrastructure, environmental, sustainability, planning, community development, housing, arts, emergency services, and others - and match writer/coordinator interests to project opportunities.

This is a subcontract 1099 opportunity perfect for retirees or public sector employees seeking side work. Hours are flexible. Telecommuting preferred, though we do have desk space in our office available. All inquiries are held in confidence.
