Disabled elderly woman in New Paltz seeks assistance in her home immediately. The job position is titled "Personal Care Aide" through the agency Independent Home Care, formerly Independent Living. No certification or licenses required. On the job training provided.
Job Duties:
To be able to perform a transfer from wheelchair to bed, vice versa.
Food preparation and feeding
Assistance around her home with various activities (gardening, reading, etc.)
Light housework (dishes, laundry, sweeping, etc.)
Ability to answer phone and if needed, take accurate messages
The right candidate must be reliable, have transportation, should live within 15 minutes from New Paltz, and have excellent punctuality and honesty. Non-smokers preferred. Must not be allergic to pets.
The shifts we are hiring for are both day hours (7am-3pm) and evening hours (3pm-11pm). There is one transfer expected for each respective shift. Transfer is executed with a manual pivot/sit to stand type machine, which is easily learned and will be trained adequately.
