Gallop Roofing & Remodeling Inc. has been serving the Outer Banks and North East North Carolina for over 65 years. We are seeking a candidate for a Commercial Roof estimator salesperson position. A roof estimator must access roof & gather detailed data to estimate all material & labor cost required to meet manufacturers specifications. He/she must forecast project costs and review job cost Must prepare bid packages, submittals, produce estimates based on conceptual drawings, analyze subcontractor and supplier bid proposals, & communicate estimate to the property owner. Provide roof assessments, reports, and budgets. The Estimator to attend pre-bid meetings, perform core tests, measurements, drawings any other applicable documentation as needed. Estimator to follow up on bids, provide job packages to crews/project managers.
The estimator must:
Have 5 or more years of field experience in construction roofing.
Have 2 or more years with construction roofing estimating experience.
Be able to use a personal computer with Windows-based applications such as Word, Excel, scheduling software and job costing software.
Be very well organized.
Be able to effectively manage multiple project tasks.
Be able to consider current and projected costs of raw materials, labor, equipment, tools, and transportation for estimations.
Be able to read, analyze and interpret business documents, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
Be able to Climb a ladder
