Madeline's Dining & Events (Formerly Crowley's Restaurant), approximately 30 miles East of Downtown Ashtabula, OH is expected to open under new owners with a history of successful business ownership! We are looking for motivated, customer oriented individuals to join a dynamic team. All applicants are expected to be a team player, punctual, trustworthy and have a positive attitude. The positions we are looking to fill include:

- Chef

- Cooks

- Servers

- Bartenders

Chef

The Chef will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring that company systems and standard operating procedures are met for all areas that directly report to him/her. The Chef (with assistance from the General Manager) must be able to oversee and manage all kitchen operations. The Chef must have great communication skills. Must be a strong leader and mentor helping to develop our team for future growth. This individual must be a motivated self starter and problem solver. They need to be confident in making decisions; setting standards and then upholding those standards. The Chef must have open availability; including nights, weekends and holidays. He or she must work closely with other managers in promoting the company's culture, mission and philosophy. Three or more years experience as a chef in a high-quality, high-volume environment required. Prior experience as a manager is preferred. Enjoy working in a larger-than-average kitchen! Apply today!

Cooks

We are looking for someone with at least two years experience cooking in different styles and cuisines. Our chefs and cooks are hard-working, organized, creative and passionate about food and customer service. Successful candidates must be able to work in a high-pressure environment, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be a team player and also able to work unsupervised. He or she must have prior experience in food preparation and cooking, plating and presentation. The ability to assist the Chef with ideas in menu planning would be a plus. Successful candidates must be well versed in food safety. The ability to work flexible hours on long shifts, holidays and weekends is a must.

Part & Full-Time Servers

The successful candidates must be highly customer service and people oriented individuals who demonstrate compassion, patience and understanding and are willing to do whatever it takes to provide the highest level of service. He or she must be well organized and have the ability to handle a variety of responsibilities and changing priorities while maintaining an upbeat, customer service focus. Successful candidates must be team-oriented individuals who enjoy working collaboratively with others, create a positive and uplifting environment, and communicate effectively with, both, guests and co-workers. Must have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, initiative, follow through and time management skills. The ability to learn and use the computerized ordering and billing system is essential. Prior experience with such ordering systems is preferred but not required. Experience having worked in a restaurant or lounge, pride in personal appearance and professional demeanor, and the ability to learn and apply knowledge regarding food and beverage preparation, presentation, sequencing of food, table set-up and maintenance of station and dining facility are all important. The ability to work flexible hours on long shifts, holidays and weekends is a must.

Bartenders

The successful candidate is expected to hold a valid certification for the serving of alcohol and proof of current food handler's certificate prior to start date and have a minimum of two (2) years active bartending experience. Our bartenders must have extensive wine and spirits knowledge, the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment, exceptional verbal communication skills, excellent service standards and attention to detail. It is important that our bartenders have a professional demeanor and polished appearance with the ability to interact with customers, vendors and team members from all departments of the restaurant. He or she must be a problem solver who works well under pressure and a good listener. The ability to work flexible hours on long shifts, holidays and weekends is a must.
