We are a family owned Trucking Company located in Cincinnati, OH looking for a Coordinator/Dispatcher/Fleet Manager with experience in Dry Van freight!
We are a fast growing Trucking Company needing a Transportation Dispatcher with great negotiating skills and the ability to multi-task. This position requires experience in booking loads, dispatching for multiple fleet vehicles and must have EXCELLENT negotiating skills. You must be comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment and have experience with boards such as DAT, Internet Truckstop, etc. Knowledge in DOT regulations for semi-trucks is a plus. Experience with computers and great communication skills are also needed. Experience in requesting Revised Rate Confirmations for Lumpers, Layovers, and Detentions is preferred, but not required!
Experience in safety and compliance is a plus!
Must have EXCELLENT negotiating skills!
Position Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of transportation experience
Strong communication and negotiation skills and be able to work under pressure
Negotiate Rates to Customers and Brokers and lock in the best rates to maximize revenue
Basic computer proficiency, i.e. load boards, email, transportation programs
Being on time, prompt, and prepared on a daily basis
Excellent multi-tasking, time management, and organizational skills
Bringing new accounts and existing accounts in is a plus
General Job Duties:
Booking freight and developing relationships with brokers and customers
Staying up to date on freight trends
Knowing backhaul/headhaul markets and the relevant pricing
Soliciting new shippers to gain direct freight
Checking broker credit worthiness to ensure a prompt payment history
Completing new customer contracts
Pre-planning your assigned drivers
Providing driver updates to the customers
