BBC Technology Solutions is looking for an experienced, full-time Computer Purchasing Associate who has extensive knowledge of computer equipment to join our growing team!
BBC Technology Solutions, a Cincinnati-based Microsoft® Registered Refurbisher, provides certified, pre-owned business class computer equipment, as well as, IT LifeCycle Solutions, including data destruction, computer refurbishing, imaging, and deployment.
Summary:
This role sources equipment manages and coordinates refurbished computer purchasing from a variety of sources.
Keys to success includes executing market research to identify potential suppliers, submitting proposals for hardware acquisition, negotiating price, and achieving the best value from their suppliers regarding cost, quality, shipping, and service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Source refurbished computer systems such as desktops, laptops, LCD monitors and components for orders ensuring best value for the product and timely delivery.
Assist sales team with customer needs and computer specifications
Collaborate with warehouse and sales team to project hardware needs
Confirm quality and quantity of receivables
Process RMAs from vendors for defective products
Seek IT Asset Management opportunities and new vendors through outbound calls
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have at least 3 years of experience buying and selling refurbished IT computer equipment
Strong knowledge of IT products and specifications, including laptops, desktops, monitors, and peripherals
Proficient in Microsoft® Office Suite and Quickbooks®
Must have critical thinking skills and the ability to reason, make decisions and prioritize
Negotiating Skills
Ability to work independently
