Customer Support Technician

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced customer support specialist with strong technical, diagnostic, project management, and communications skills. We provide cost-saving, productivity solutions (hardware and software) to first-tier corporate clients. As a member of our support team, work directly with some of the finest companies in the world supporting our mission-critical supply chain technology systems. You will work in an upbeat, professional team environment providing ongoing software/hardware support for our client base. This position is heavily help desk/customer focused and requires strong diagnostic skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, a high sense of urgency and the ability to accurately document and provide fact-based solutions. Ability to work nights and weekends is required.

Handle incoming requests for technical support via telephone, email or CRM.

Provide remote support for new equipment installations and customer service matters.

Provide occasional help to Parts Department.

Plan and host web-based software training sessions with end users to educate and promote skill transfer.

Diagnose and provide solutions to company's hardware/software issues.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of business processes/standards/testing requirements through a variety of training methods including classroom, hands on, and site visits.

Product Testing and Device Testing for internal purposes

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Strong customer service and the confidence and professionalism to interface with our client base at many organizational levels.

Fluent in written and spoken English. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Experience troubleshooting hardware or software (i.e. computers, phone systems, etc)

Driven by individual results but not at the detriment of the team.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, backed up by strong organizational and time

management capabilities.

Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel and Power Point).

Ability to earn the client's trust and confidence with and without face to face contact.

Practical experience and working knowledge of networks, network security, firmware & Internet Browsers is a plus but it is not required.

Basic knowledge of electro-mechanical devices is a plus but it is not required.

Proven ability to be successful in a position that requires multi-tasking.

Willingness to train and work in a hands on environment.

Proven ability to work in a team environment.

Associates degree or relevant work experience related to computer/device support, electrical/mechanical equipment is a plus but it is not required.

Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 lbs (occasionally) and occasionally work on-site at a customer facility in a corporate or manufacturing setting.
