Overview

The Administrative Assistant will work closely with the Project Director and assist with administrative functions and grant activities. This is a direct hire position that offers generous pay as well as a benefits package.

What You'll Be Doing

Provide administrative support to staff and maintain management schedules.

Organize and order office supplies as needed.

Answer phones and direct calls appropriately.

Exercise a high level of confidentiality regarding donors, partnerships, and the children served.

Create precise financial reports, balance credit cards, and accounts payable.

Receive and organize financial reports from partners.

Make travel reservations and plan conferences.

Record program outcomes and input notes into tracking system.

Perform data entry tasks.

Attend meetings and take notes.

What You Need to Be Successful

Associates Degree or three years of equivalent experience.

Nonprofit or government experience is preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Quickbooks.

Strong desire to contribute and make a positive impact on children in the foster care system.

Adaptability, a high level of organizational skills, and attention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communication skills- must be personable.

Ability to display understanding and empathy.

Cultural awareness and ability to identify unique needs specific to various diverse populations.

Tactful and professional demeanor is sensitive situations.

Compensation

Pay is $17/hr. as well as a robust benefits and PTO package.
