Horse Farm Full & Part-Time Help - New Facility (Westerville, Ohio) on Schleppi Rd.
Looking for daily barn help at a new 22 stall horse boarding facility in Westerville, OH. Friendly atmosphere!
Part-time position available seven days a week with flexible hours.
Prior horse and/or barn experience is required.
This is an immediate position that requires an individual who is self-motivated, hardworking, punctual, reliable, and responsible. Must have reliable transportation. Must be able to take direction as necessary. We are looking for the type of person who will be given daily tasks and responsibilities but will also be able to self-delegate tasks during the slow portions of the day. An ideal candidate would be over 18 years of age and have at least one-year prior horse and/or stall cleaning experience.
The responsibilities include:
Clean stalls (11 - 22 stalls), outdoor & indoor facility, handling the horses, applying blankets, bell & splint boots.
Distributes feeds, replenishes water, bedding.
Waters horses.
Hand walks horses daily to and from stall/pastures.
Follows policies, instruction, and procedures given from the Barn Manager.
Reports potentially unsafe conditions.
