Our company is a growing, dynamic, fun, fast paced student and multifamily housing organization. The Maintenance Technician role is responsible for all aspects of the student-housing property maintenance and upkeep while working under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the daily maintaining of the property grounds as well as the daily repair and upkeep of the property
Ensure the proper turn over of vacant units and make-readies for occupancy
Responsible for the care, maintenance and inventory of all supplies and equipment owned by the property and/or management company.
Report any unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents
Ensure the proper cleaning of work areas, tools and equipment
Be aware of and operate within OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and company safety policies at all times
Be available to work on an on-call basis
Maintain the required property uniform and insuring a professional appearance and attitude at all times
Able to perform duties of the job while standing, walking, and/or sitting for extended periods of time and bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects and crawl in confined areas
Able to push, pull, lift, carry and maneuver weights of up to thirty (30) pounds independently and fifty (50) pounds with assistance
Other tasks as assigned and needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
One to two years of maintenance experience required
HVAC Certification strongly preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask while working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong oral and written communication skills
