At Ferco Tech the Quality Inspector is a very important position. Youll be responsible for insuring the parts we create match our customer requirements and no detail is missed. If it looks wrong, it probably is. If the product doesnt match the print, youre solving the problem and getting it corrected. If its not within tolerance, its not right, and you wont stop until it is. If everythings on target youre the first to hand out high fives.

Schedule

Training: Monday “ Friday 6:00 am “ 2:30 pm with overtime possible daily and Saturdays

Regular: Sunday “ Friday 5:30 pm “ 6:00 am + 21.11% shift differential

Key Responsibilities:

-Ensure conformance on precision aerospace components using visual and dimensional inspection per applicable customer specifications.

-Inspect parts using fixed or variable measuring instruments checking for irregularities and defects.

-Must be able to work from complex and detailed blueprints and/or verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.

-Ability to multi-task

-Good work ethic

-Self-starter

-Willing to learn

-Good attendance

-Other Ad hoc duties as required

Basic Qualifications:

-Requires High School Diploma or equivalent

-Must have Quality Inspection experience

-Familiarity with metal manufacturing processes

-Must be able to use Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gages, etc., and Surface Plate Layout techniques

-Intermediate level skills with MS Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Physical Demands

-Able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds on a daily basis

-Able to bend, twist, turn, carry, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, etc

-Able to successfully pass vision screens

-Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects.
