Looking for a motivated, dependable, and flexible individual with the ability to receive, understand and carry out directions in fast-paced shipping, warehouse, poultry, and hatchery environment. Position duties may include: Transfer of eggs, pulling of hatch, packing egg orders, packing live chick orders, building boxes, moving larger birds to assigned locations, disposal of shells, assisting with the setup for hatch day and clean up post-hatch day, sweeping, washing and foaming. This position will ensure the highest quality of animal care and maintain the integrity of Meyer Hatchery at all times.
Physical:
Ability to stand long periods of time
Crouching, bending, repetitive motion of hands, arms, shoulders
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
Ability to acclimate to outdoor climate
Exposure to poultry dust and chemicals
