Travel Consultant needed to promote and sell travel products, services, and membership benefits to clients and members.

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, & EXPECTATIONS:

Produce new membership sales and renewals along with sales of additional member benefits, with focus on setting up members for automatic renewal.

Sale of domestic and international airline tickets, cruises, tours, hotels, car rental, train reservations and obtaining group travel and motor coach tours. Requests from clients will be received in person, by email and on the telephone

Sales and promotion of sundry products (luggage, consignment tickets, merchandise, etc.) and insurance products including Member Rewards Visa, Visa travel cards, and foreign currency.

Achieve all sales goals as set forth, with commission plan

Assist clients with foreign documents (e.g. visa, passport, International Driving Permit and Inter-American Driving Permit).

Maintain knowledge of preferred vendor program, membership, products and services, effectively communicating them to members and clients.

Attend educational opportunities as needed, such as vendor training and familiarization trips.

Document all sales opportunities within leads management system.

Participate in community outreach events as needed.

Ability to work Saturday is a must

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, SPECIFIC ABILITIES:

Sales experience or knowledge of sales concepts or willingness to learn and practice sales techniques as directed by Management.

Must have ability and willingness to attend required training classes.

Excellent communication and customer service skills in person, on the telephone and through written communication.

Proficient computer skills, including the ability to function in several websites and computer programs simultaneously, perform internet research, and use of computer accessories (printers, copiers, scanners).

Ability to perform accurate data entry for extended periods every day.

Strong knowledge of North American geography as well as general knowledge of world geography.

Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment with a strong attention to detail.
