Summary: The purpose of this position is to interact with our guests and ensure they have a great experience. At all times, servers are expected to be attentive to our guest needs and make them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed. Bartending experience preferred but not required.
Major responsibilities include:
Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) at beginning of each shift to ensure room(s) are set as contracted. Be familiar with menu selections, special orders and bar set up for each event
Perform all pre/post event set up which may include moving tables, chairs, misc. furniture
Be in communication with Catering Manager or Banquet Supervisor regarding any special needs
Assist in ensuring that the events are on time. Make adjustments as needed & relay that information to the Manager
Prepares the tables according to service standards and event requests, performing all preparation tasks
Greet all guests warmly with an appropriate greeting
Service guests with all food & beverage requirements in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner. Anticipate guest needs & respond promptly & courteously
Properly open, serve and/or pour wine at tableside or by tray service
Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by Banquet Supervisor
Promote teamwork and quality service with staff and other departments
Adhere to FivePine grooming and appearance standards
Comply with all FivePine Lodge policies, procedures and safety regulations including strict adherence to all Health & Safety Standards and OLCC rules & regulations
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
2-5 years experience in banquet or restaurant service preferred
Bartending experience preferred but not required
Must have flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
Must be physically fit with the ability to stand for long periods and be able to lift up to 40lbs
Must have OLCC permit, food service or valid health/food handler card
Must be knowledgeable in food & beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations & etiquette
Must possess strong written and oral communication skills
