Crystal Lake Community Management, Inc. (CLCM), a subsidiary of Pahlisch Homes, is seeking a full time Architectural Design Review Specialist in their Bend office.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Architectural Design Review Specialist is responsible for reviewing, approving and tracking new construction Architectural application submittals. This position will attend monthly meetings and will be the liaison between the Architectural Review Committee, owners and builders from the submittal process through the final home construction completion.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Collect and review new construction submittals for detail and requirements
- Understand the Design requirements for each community with new construction (currently 5-7)
- Follow up with owner/builder, as needed, to obtain all submittal requirements and details as shown in the Design - Guidelines for each community
- Analyze residential structure and suggest changes which correspond to established standard
- Ability to quickly run through design iterations and explore solutions
- Ability to understand basic structural systems and the impact to structure of modification to conceptual designs
- Compose and refine programmatic elements utilizing a variety of stylistic palettes
- Understand and apply appropriate responses with issues of placement of structure on sloped/challenging lots and the various topographic and/or site-specific standards
- Keep accurate documentation of ARC submittals and decisions
- Follow up on ARC requests and outstanding information in a timely fashion
- Perform periodic inspections on site or with photos to ensure compliance with the ARC approval
- Compliance notices, letters, or calls if violations occurÂ
- Perform other duties, as may be requested
QUALIFICATIONS
Residential architectural design experience in an architectural or hands-on homebuilding/construction scope
Bachelor or Associate Degree in related field preferred but not required
General construction knowledge to understand construction process, terminology and codes preferred
Permit experience and knowledge of local building codes preferred
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to take direction, meet time-lines and work on a multitude of projects at one time
Ability to complete tasks and projects on time with accuracy and detail
Strong work ethic with high level of integrity both in and out of work
