NW Industrial is currently seeking a journeyman level manual machinist to join a team of experience machinists that specialize in reconditioning equipment for the wood products industry. This is a full-time evaluation position on a day shift in Cottage Grove, OR.
What we are looking for:
3+ years of set up on manual equipment including: mills, lathes, boring mills, grinders, drills and balancers.
Proficiency keeping tolerances of less than .001 of an inch.
The ability to read schematics and blueprints.
Good machine shop math skills including factions and decimals.
GD&T Reading capabilities
Ability to read procession measurement devices including Vernier calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
Ability to lift 60lbs+ on a semi-consistent basis.
Ability to stand, bend, stoop, push and pull for an 8 to 10-hour shift.
Previous forklift or overhead crane experience is preferred.
This is a full-time evaluation to hire opportunity on a day shift. Hours are 7AM to 3:30PM Monday Friday with overtime as needed. Starting pay is $20-$25/h depending on experience. There is a full benefits package available after the evaluation which included medical, vision, dental, 401K, vacation, and 8 paid holidays.
