The Community Outreach Specialist will be responsible for building relationships with the public by performing outreach, marketing, and advertising related to ongoing projects. This includes social media marketing and attending in-person events based on the needs of a particular project.

This is a hybrid part-time position. Administrative work may be conducted in a remote capacity, while travel-to and attendance at events will be in-person. This position is expected to work between 20-24 hours per week, which may include weekends or evenings in order to attend events. Candidates will be accepted throughout the Olympic Peninsula and Southwest Washington region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Keep complete records of outreach events, activities, and participants.

Maintain general knowledge about CPINs programs and services and act as a resource for outside inquiries.

In cooperation with the Executive Leadership Team, develop outreach and marketing strategies to better engage target populations.

In cooperation with the Executive Leadership Team, plan and execute outreach and education activities both in-house and in the community; coordinate the necessary materials and staff for the events.

Manage the company’s social media presence, including producing content in cooperation with the Executive Leadership Team.

Assist with marketing and social media tasks such as creating and/or editing flyers.

Manage scheduling tools and company calendars and provide updates to the community regarding changes to event times or locations.

Assist participants in scheduling an event or confirming their attendance at an event as necessary.

Develop and maintain community liaisons.

Build new partnerships with community based organizations, especially near the locations of CPIN projects.

Give presentations and speak in a public setting as needed.

Attend on-site/off-site community engagement activities and on-site/off-site clinic events as needed.

Other duties as assigned.
