Apprentice Plumber Opportunity (Douglas County)
Apprenticeship Plumber applications are being accepted in order to establish a "ready for hire" list of applicants. This is required by the State of Oregon as step one in our Selection Procedure. Applicants wanting to begin an apprenticeship program must first apply to the qualified hiring pool.
This program is through the Area III Plumbers Apprenticeship Committee with this opening for Lane and Douglas counties. Applications distributed March 25, 2019 through April 5, 2019. This is a four-year apprenticeship program which leads to a journey worker license in the plumbing trade. Acceptance in this program requires a commitment to full time on the job training as well as classroom training. It is the responsibility of the apprentice to pay for all class tuition and books.
Minimum Qualifications: (Must send documentation of the following when returning application)
1. At least 18 years old
2. High School graduate or certificate of equivalency (GED)
3. One year of high school beginning math with a "C" or better, or one term of college math with a "C" or better, or a college math placement test showing placement to be above high level school math.
