ORGANIC FARM CREW POSITIONS AVAILABLE
General Description:
New Farm Crew team member positions available at Organic vegetable production farm. The farm grows a wide variety of diverse vegetables for farmers markets, restaurants, wholesale and grocery store outlets, has been in business and growing Organic produce for over a decade, and is one of Oregons few minority and female owned and operated farms.
Duties and Job Qualifications:
Job duties include harvesting, packing/processing, transplanting, weeding, and general farm-maintenance tasks. Applicant must be able to maintain energy and enthusiasm, follow instructions thoroughly, and work effectively with other team members as well as independently. Farm work is fun, but it can also be difficult and repetitive. Applicants must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions. Previous farm experience is great but not required. A willingness to work hard, keep pace, learn and contribute are the essential qualities you will need to be a part of our team.
Work Schedules:
Part time and full time work available from 20-50 hours per week, seasonal and year round positions, located at sites in Aurora and Willamina, Oregon. Additional hours may be available based upon farm needs and employee interest.
Compensation:
Depending on experience and job responsibilities, hourly wage ranges from $12-$15/hour. Free Organic produce and many on site learning opportunities to increase employee knowledge of Organic farming and small business management will be available. Job advancement and increased wages will also be available over time for employees who demonstrate the skills, experience, and drive necessary.

FARMERS MARKET STAFF POSITIONS AVAILABLE
General Description:
Seeking sales team members to display and market produce for local Certified Organic vegetable farm at Portland area farmers markets.
Duties and Job Qualifications:
Job requires a general and common knowledge of produce (or at least the enthusiasm and desire to learn), ability to work with customers, make small-talk and exchange/engage friendly conversation and smile, use of digital scales, making change and counting back money accurately, the ability to lift at least 50 lbs and stand on your feet for a full shift. Culinary, kitchen, produce marketing, and sales experience a major plus.
Job duties include unpacking truck, setting up tents, tables, market display pieces. Thoughtfully and strategically displaying product, signage, restocking produce, sampling when required, engaging customers and conducting sales. Post market duties include repacking of leftover product, clean up, break-down, pack-up of market display and supplies, and repacking the market truck for exit.
Work Schedules:
Available Farmers Market positions take place outdoors on Saturday mornings. Two locations include Portland State University (on the Park Blocks) and Beaverton Farmers Market (next to the library). This is a part time position, 1 day per week approximately 7-9 hours per shift. PSU Market is 51 weeks per year and Beaverton is open March-November.
Compensation:
Depending on experience, $12.5-$14/hour including free Organic produce. Job advancement and increased wages will also be available over time for employees who demonstrate the skills, experience, and drive necessary.
