Position Summary: The Program Supervisor of the Addiction Recovery Team (ART) collaborates with multiple levels of governmental and community agencies, serving as liaison between VOA Program Director and staff, DHS supervisors and staff, and community partners to achieve high-quality program services for participants and their families. Under the direction of the Program Director, the supervisor leads VOA Oregon program operations staff providing direct services. Team members work within Department of Human Services (DHS) offices in Marion, Polk, Yamhill and Washington counties. The Program Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the Addiction & Recovery Team (ART) program to ensure clinical and administrative compliance with contractual standards, performance objectives and evidence-based practices.

Education, Training and Experience:

Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor I (CADC I) certification is required.

A Bachelors degree in a related field and five years relevant experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.

At least three years experience in relevant areas such as child welfare, chemical dependency, family preservation and/or social service program for children and families.

Experience and skills working with culturally and economically diverse families.

One year or more of supervisory experience required.

Experience collaborating with governmental agencies and coordinating with community partners.

Additional Eligibility Requirements:

Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Reliable vehicle, active drivers license, current insurance and the ability to pass our insurers driving standards and maintain a good driving record.

If recovering from a substance use related disorder, must be able to demonstrate continuous sobriety under nonresidential, independent living conditions for the immediate past two years, and maintain throughout employment duration.

ÂEssential Duties & Responsibilities:

Maintain effective client services in compliance with State of Oregon Department of Human Services/Child Welfare and Volunteers of America Oregons policies and procedures, certifications, regulations and other funding source requirements.

Represent, coordinate and/or facilitates meetings between VOA Oregon with DHS and other community partners, providing Program Director updates and progress reports.

Facilitate day-to-day operations, staff meetings, and one-on-one supervision meetings with staff.

Supervise Outreach Workers and A&D Specialists, including recruitment, hiring, training and performance management.

Arrange coverage for absent staff members to ensure all ART contracted job duties are completed in a timely manner.

Assist Program Director in development and implementation of policies and procedures.

Work cooperatively with the Program Director, VOAOR staff and partner staff to address program sustainability.

Monitor and review with the Program Director systems of accountability to achieve program goals and objectives.

Maintain consistent practices of safety procedures for self and others during daily tasks and activities, reporting all incidents and concerns to Program Director and other management as needed.

Other Duties:

Serve as backup director in absence of the Program Director.

Other duties as assigned.

Maintain ongoing education and training as needed.

Supervisory: Position is responsible for supervision of approximately 10 employees.Â

Schedule: This is a full-time position, with some evening and weekend hours as needed.
