Wilcox Farms is looking for a Production Maintenance Tech!

This role is responsible for the day to day maintenance of all production related equipment to include Egg laying equipment, heavy equipment such as skid steers, front loader and dump truck and any and all support equipment (e.g., pressure washers, air compressors, generators, etc.)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on all production and related equipment; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.

2. Responsible for maintaining maintenance records and following regulatory guidelines set by agencies (e.g., PM schedules, tool clean and sanitize log, scale calibration, etc.)

3. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.

4. Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.

5. Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.

6. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

7. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed and assisting in other areas such as Capway and processing maintenance, as well as other Wilcox Farms locations

8. Provides constant support to production team. Works with production team as needed.

9. Serves as a role model of the culture by consistently demonstrating the corporate values to all Wilcox Farms staff. Supports and promotes team spirit and development. Contributes toward effective team problem solving with staff, peers, and Management.

10. Effectively communicates work activity to supervisor though daily communication

11. Coordinates with outside vendors and contractors as needed.

12. Performs other duties as assigned.

KEY EXPECTATIONS

1. Review and prioritize work orders daily with maintenance supervisor.

2. Preventive maintenance will need to be performed as schedule dictates. All daily PMs completed prior to end of shift.

3. Cross training in multiple areas to assist as necessary when needed.

Wages: $18-20/hr, DOE
