The National Parks Conservation Association, the nations leading national park advocacy organization, seeks a Regional Director to oversee programs designed to protect natural and cultural resources, improve the quality of park visitor experiences, and build a powerful network of local advocates to influence policies that safeguard national parks and adjacent public lands throughout North and South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee and Kentucky. The Director provides the critical regional vision, guidance and leadership for a highly functional team of professionals to implement systemic and local campaigns and organizational priorities. The Regional Director will have experience working with the media as well as cultivating individual donors and foundations to secure funding for the entire organization. BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in relevant field, with graduate degree preferred. Candidates must have at least five years of experience in public policy, advocacy, resource management and/or historic/cultural preservation. Position is based in Knoxville (TN) or Asheville (NC).
