Boat Charter Captains Needed! (full time and part time)
Get paid $23-$30/hr (depending on experience and vessel assigned) plus all tips to drive people around on the water on Lake Lewisville. Most of our captains make around $30-$35/hr after tips on average. Both weekend and full time options available. We are looking for individuals with boating experience who can take customers swimming, tubing, to party cove, and show them a good time on Lake Lewisville on our regular tritoon boats and double decker pontoon boats with waterslides.
For captains that excel in this position we have a few full time year-round positions that we need asap.
-Salaried position to help with both aspects of our business, the boat charter side (captaining and all that comes with that) as well as our boat dealership side of the business that is growing quickly - starting at 45k-50k annually with benefits. Helping to purchase boats, lake test them, fix small things on them and get them ready to sell
-Salaried position - managing director - to lead both aspects of the business with paid health insurance, 3 weeks PTO and 401k matching starting at 70k
We take safety extremely seriously and would expect all of our captains to prioritize safety at all times as this is the most important responsibility.
Requirements:
-Consistently work either weekends only or full time throughout the spring/fall/summer months
-Individuals that are unavailable many weekends each summer aren't usually a great fit, weekends are a large chunk of our business so the ideal candidates can work almost every weekend in the summer (saturday and sunday). With that being said, we are also needing one captain to work every other weekend and be on rotation on one of our vessels
-Have completed the Texas Boater Safety Course OR be willing to do so, it takes about 8 hours to complete but can be split up into chunks
-Have some boating experience or operated a boat before
-We can teach you everything, but it is highly preferred that you have at least some experience with boats
-Be able to work longer shifts on the weekends up to 12 hours, generally 8-12 hour shifts depending on how busy we are
weekend shifts are almost always in the neighborhood of 8-12 hours (9:30am-8/9pm) for the busiest 3-4 months and generally 5-12 hour shifts in the spring and fall with some trips throughout winter
All of the vessels have bimini tops to provide you with shade
-Must be 21+ and able to lift a 20-30lb anchor
