Hope Lutheran Church is an established congregation located on the northwest side of San Antonio. We are currently hiring for a Part-Time Administrative Assistant. This position requires approximately 25 hours/week Monday “ Friday. The daytime hours each day can be adjusted to fit the needs of the administrative assistant but must remain the same every week once established.

This position will be responsible for the support and administration of many aspects of this smaller congregation including bookkeeping, office administration, and customer service. A detailed list of duties and responsibilities can be requested.

Requirements include: HS diploma or equivalent; minimum of 3 years of customer service, office administration, bookkeeping and accounting experience. Successful applicant must have experience with and knowledge of QuickBooks along with MS Office products (Excel, Word, Publisher, and PowerPoint).

Competencies required: planning, prioritizing, organizing, verbal and written communication, customer service, and time-management. This position assumes the successful candidate is approachable, has integrity and is a capable listener. A background check will also be administered.

Knowledge of Roman Catholic or other liturgical Christian communities and ability to speak some Spanish is a plus.
