The Hyatt Place in Blacksburg is looking for a few hard workers that take great pride in what they do. Any candidate must be able to pass a background check and eligible to work in the United States. Please apply in person at the Hyatt Place Blacksburg.
Housekeepers will be required to perform routine duties in the cleaning and servicing of any area to which they may be assigned, supply those areas with items which are required for the convenience and comfort of the guest. Makes beds neatly with fresh sheets and pillowcases. Pick up trash on the floor, removes and empty trash in waste baskets, cleans mirrors and shelves, wipes door frames, window sills, and baseboards and arranges furniture properly. Cleans bathrooms, scrubbing basin, bathtub, toilet, and tile floor. Completes cleaning by disinfecting surfaces.
The Houseperson Cleans public spaces in accordance with franchise procedures. Vacuums, mops and dusts daily; additionally as needed. Must have attention to detail and want to make the hotel shine! Stocks room attendant's supplies, removes soiled linen and trash from carts, all service functions.
These positions Require walking and standing for entire shift. Requires ability to perform duties which involve lifting, bending, stretching, and reaching. May be required to lift 35-50 lbs. Ability to follow schedule keeping in mind that the hotel is open 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Therefore, you may be required to work holidays, weekdays, weekends and different times during a 24 hour day. Ability to perform physical labor.
