Silvara Cellars is seeking a Tasting Room Lead- Venue Coordinator to assist in selling and implementing memorable experience at the winery behind the bar or running an event/wedding. We are looking for an energetic event professional to help us meet demand and increase event bookings weddings, birthday parties, anniversary celebrations, business meetings and other personal and business events. This person will also be a key asset in the tasting room, with helping customers, stocking wine, and assisting our general manager, The right individual is an engaging communicator who enjoys meeting new guests and working on a team to plan and deliver magical experiences.

-Tasting Room Lead-
Tasting Room Sales Associates serve as the direct first point of contact for all Silvara
customers. They are ambassadors of the Silvara brand and are expected to embody the
customer service ideals of Silvara Cellars.
-Duties and responsibilities-
Welcome all Silvara guests and provide exceptional customer service;
Become an enthusiastic ambassador of Silvara Cellars;
Educate customers regarding Silvara wines, our history and our facility;
Promote the Silvara wine club to all customers;
Promote bottle sales- continue to grow in wine sales technique through trainings and sales opportunities as they arise.
Handle purchases using POS system and provide retailrelated guidance to customers;
Attend employee meetings as they are scheduled;
Help with special winery and private events as needed;
Conduct numerous other duties associated with a fastpaced retail environment
Help direct staff in what is in of need cleaning at Silvara to keep us look our best. This includes back wine room, kitchen, back room, bathrooms, and all other guest areas- Using systems that are in place
Assist in training new staff as they are hired
Enter and update Wine club members and email lists
-Venue Coordinator-
Event coordinator responsibilities include providing outstanding customer service and organizing memorable events for both private and Silvara events that meet quality expectations and deliver magical experiences.
-Duties and responsibilities-
Promotes selling the Silvara Cellars venue and the benefits of hosting an event to potential clients.
Solicit new and existing accounts to meet / exceed revenue goals. This will consist of telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication. Preparing correspondence to customers, internal booking reports and file maintenance.
Participates in networking events to promote referral business, building relationships with wedding affiliated organizations and individuals to establish and maintain rapport.
Conducts on-going analysis of competition, including pricing and promotions.
Negotiates and books all weddings, ensuring profitability and positive client relations; meets or exceeds wedding sales goals
Fosters and manages client relationship with Silvara after booking, on all levels.
Maintain a working relationship supplier
Day of coordinating of private and winery events
Stay in commutation with Arieca thought out the planning of the events, from start to end.
Create a day of Event Document for each event. This includes events including timeline, who is doing what, and items needed and when.
Schedules and coordinates tasks in areas related to event set up, timeline through out the event, and clean up. Making certain that Silvaras event venue is professional, safe, organized and cleaned
Proactively identifies opportunities/challenges and suggest methods to improved event operations, and service levels to customers.
Knowledge of venue and how events and weddings work at Silvara
-Qualifications-
1 year event sales and/or Wedding coordinator experience preferred
Some hospitality / event sales and coordination experience or training is a plus
Outgoing personality with aptitude for describing an event with passion and excitement
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to work weekends and weekdays
Must be computer savvy and proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook
Comfortable with technology eager to learn new systems
Silvara Cellars offers an attractive compensation package. Hourly salary based upon experience. Sales commissions and tips when working as a sales associate in the tasting room. Paid vacation and personal days.
