Position Summary

A Human Resources (HR) Coordinator, or Specialist, guides all tasks necessary to keep human resources responsibilities operating successfully and efficiently. HR coordinator/specialist manages activities and record keeping that involves employees, including hiring, compensation, and performance management. As an HR Coordinator, you would report to the company's CFO, closely support and prepare reports for the company president & CEO, and always add value by contributing to improve the HR office's policies and procedures. We are looking for individuals with a willingness to embrace change, have a positive attitude with a team oriented mentality, and have a work history that indicates reliability.

Responsibilities:

Oversee employee onboarding, administering paperwork and creating personnel files.

Serve as the primary contact for general employee communications, benefits.

Coordinate closely with company leadership.

Assist with payroll records and processing.

Assist with new and updated health insurance enrollment and consulting as requested.

Respond to requests for information and assist all employees with a customer service attitude.

Maintain department organization by maintaining filing systems and providing general support where required.

Prepare employee communications, such as those delivered with paychecks or by email.

Processing leaves of absence, layoffs, and terminations.

Assisting with performance reviews and to help guide managers in writing and delivering coaching forms, PIPs, and

separations in a timely manner.

Coordinate employment verifications, workers compensation, unemployment claims, and FMLA to ensure reporting

and documentation are timely and accurate.

Coordinate recruitment efforts, post job openings, assist in greeting candidates, convey job opening information and

share application instructions to candidates.

Conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separation and to obtain valuable input from separating

personnel.

Assist with annual benefit enrollment, completion of the health insurance, 401(k) administration, and audits.

Reconcile and code HR vendor invoices.

Review options, request proposals, secure events and oversee activities that take place internally and off site.

Coordination with company attorneys and various employee legal matters.

Maintain track and log information for both internal and legal compliance.

Create basic spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations and other Word documents as directed.

Qualifications:

Associate or Bachelor's Degree in business administration, human resources, or equivalent experience.

Three to five years’ minimum HR experience in a professional business environment is preferred.

Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and

abilities will be considered.

Demonstrated professionalism with strict attention to detail, respect, and time management.

Operates with integrity and appropriate discretion on HR and related matters.

Able to multitask and prioritize tasks.

Experience with onboarding and termination protocols.

A collaborator and critical thinker that is driven to humble-hungry-smart leadership.

Clean background check.
