Chippewa County is accepting applications for a Network Engineer position within the Department of Administration “ Information Technology Division. The job duties of the Network Engineer include but are not limited to design, build, and implement secure network and server systems across the enterprise; includes maintaining and supporting all LAN/WAN/CAN connections, servers, phones system, software and communication links; responsible for Chippewa County and City of Chippewa Falls computer network security; analyzes and resolves end-user hardware, software, and network issues; and act as lead for Network Analysts, Programmer Analyst and Technical Support Analyst. Once fully trained, this position will be required to be part of an on-call rotation. This will result in additional compensation for on-call hours.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, MIS, Computer Science or related filed with three (3) years of computer networking experience including project management and system analysis required OR Associates degree in Information Technology or related field with a minimum of five (5) years of computer networking experience including project management or systems analysis experience required. Cisco and virtualization experience with VM Ware is preferred. Cell phone and valid drivers license required. Wage: $74,061.36 - $79,657.20/annually depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe benefit package. Position may be eligible for an annual pay increase based on performance.

Benefits: Security Health Plan provider options include a high deductible plan ($2,000 for an individual and $4,000 for a family) and a low deductible plan ($500 for an individual and $1,500 for a family) with monthly premiums ranging from $0 per month to $11 for an individual and $0 per month to $30 for a family. Wisconsin Retirement System contributions of 6.55% with a 6.55% company match. Dental, vision, life insurance, flexible spending, and disability insurance offered. Generous PTO program of 6.16 hours of PTO earned per pay period (26 pay periods in a year).
