Reputable Finish Carpentry and Design company seeks Assistant Project Manager with finish carpentry experience for immediate hire! This position is for full-time work for the right candidates. We are looking for self-starters and team players.
Responsibilities include assisting Project Manager with the following:
- Material Ordering – Review project proposal and order material accordingly; review Purchase Orders from vendors; and follow up on material orders
- Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
- Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
- Weekly project scheduling
- Create change orders for projects as needed
- Draw detail sketches and specifications
- Coordinate with Estimator to review plan take-offs for accuracy
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years field installation and 1 year project coordinator experience
- Must have AutoCAD Drafting experience
- Must be able to read and understand construction plans and finish schedules
- Computer literate. Experience with Excel, Google Drive and Adobe a plus!
- Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
- Understanding of all facets of the construction process
- Ability to plan and see the “big picture”
- BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or equivalent work experience a plus!
